The switches are for isolation and an economical replacement for Circuit Breakers. National switchgears manufacture medium voltage Switch Disconnectors as per IEC 60265 and IEC 62271 in the range of 12/24/36KV. The current rating will go up to 4000A.
Both Indoor and out door switches with single and double break options are manufactured .
Other features are:
- Fuses on incoming or outgoing side
- Motorized operation either by AC or DC
- Shunt trips
- Local /Remote controls
- Earth switch
- On load breaking using Flat arc chutes
